How would you describe your style?
We would describe our style as timeless, story-driven and always forward-thinking. However each couple is given their own unique approach. Get a feel for the experience by viewing our portfolio here.
Who picks the background music in the film?
We normally choose background music because it requires copyright and licensing. If you have music score ideas, we’d love to see if we can make it happen!
Why is wedding cinematography expensive?
There are many factors that impact your investment in a wedding cinematographer. Gear, travel, length of time, post-production, several renditions of your wedding day, and so much more. Investing in a luxury professional ensures they have the experience to document every detail that matters.
What happens if Peter is booked on my date?
If Peter is personally booked for your wedding date, our A’s of Hearts associate team will be available for your celebration.
Why should we hire a wedding cinematographer?
While a photo can capture a moment, a wedding film can capture the feeling of your wedding day. It allows you
to relive your celebration, take note of details you would have missed, and share the sentiment with those you love most.
What’s the difference between a Same Day Edit and a Wedding Highlight?
The Same Day Edit is 3-4 minutes of footage shown during your reception. It serves as a recap from every moment that has led up to the reception and is known for bringing an extra wow-factor to your celebration! Where a Wedding Highlight is 3-4 minutes of footage recapping your entire celebration, from the time you got ready to the time of your send-off, and has a 4-6 week turnaround time.

Do you provide raw footage of our entire wedding?
In addition to sharing any films that are part of your cinematic experience, yes, raw footage will be provided as well.
Can you travel for my wedding?
Yes! We enjoy traveling for our couples worldwide and look forward to where your celebration will take you!
How long will it take to receive our film(s)?
I always aim to get your 1-minute Instagram video within a week. Unless you’ve opted for a Same Day Edit through The Cinema package, all other films have a one-month turnaround time.

Will Peter Ascalon be the lead cinematographer at my wedding?
It depends! You get my full access, alongside associate cinematographers through The Cinema or The Storyteller Package. If you’ve opted for an A’s of Hearts package, you’ll be greeted by one of my fellow creative shooters who are just as eager to work with you!
Do you offer photography as well?
Let’s just say, we like to stay in our lane and focus on what we do best. However, we can connect you with plenty of Los Angeles photographers that are proficient in the work of still images. Reach out and we’ll send them your way.
